Virtualahan made it big again. Virtualahan is featured last January 12 at CNN.

Winning the 2017 Globe Future Makers, Virtualahan was again featured for its global impact, serving as a social influencer to other social enterprises across the country.

CNN showed how Virtualahan helped bridge communities through the digital and communications skills training, empowering people with disabilities through virtual employment.

Employment has always been an economic divide among those who have access to employment and to those who do not have. Here, Virtualahan through Globe’s innovative support, endeavors to create a bridge and make employment more accessible to all regardless their disabilities.

Inclusive Virtualahan TV shows

Virtualahana TV is back with more interesting and life-changing topics! This January, two essential issues were discussed to ensure awareness and spread inspiration.

Last January 14, Coach Ryan gave insights on a very a topic very close to his heart, Knowing Hepatitis. He elaborated world insights and shared his personal experiences about the medical conditions related to it.

The program is timely since the second week of January is the Hepatitis Awareness and Prevention month.

The next VhanTV guest was Carlota Atienza, the loving mother who continuously pours unconditional love to her son who has autism. She helped educate the community on the dos and don’ts in interacting with people who have autism.

A Mother’s Guide in Understanding Autism aired last January 28.

Virtualahan TV airs twice in a month led and moderated by Coach Billie Bautista with our Sign Language interpreter, Nilo Lumuag.

On January 27, Virtualahan joined the #infoexhibit at SM City Davao to raise awareness about Viral Hepatitis in observance with National Liver Cancer and Viral Hepatitis Awareness Month.

The program is in partnership with Yellow Warriors society Philippines, Inc. Gabriella-GoViral-UNLEASH2018.

Karsten shares Virtualahan in India

Karsten Eskelund, our partner, mentor and friend, showcases Virtualahan’s cause across Asia. He presented the paper on the influence of employment and empowerment to people with disabilities. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is the most recent academic crowd to hear of Virtualahan’s training impact. The event was held at Ahmedabad, India last January 3.
Much gratitude is given to Karsten for the love and support for the Virtualahan community.

The Inside Peek

The Inside Peek (TIP) is the newest program launched this January 2019. TIP aims to connect, inform and inspire graduates of the digital skills training program. This is the continuance of the learning process after they graduate from the course. This is also another program of the employment support that Virtualahan provides.

TIP offers insights about the actual reality in the virtual job. The speakers in the sessions are our very own Virtualahan graduates who have successfully nailed their virtual assistance jobs. The speakers share the newest, the latest and the most needed skills in the actual field.

For January, two of our enthusiastic graduates Raquel Apachecha and Raquel Munji shared their expertise on E-COMMERCE (and more) last January 22 and January 29, respectively.

The first two sessions were participated by Teams 23 and 24.

Angels’ Walk at SM Lanang Premier

“Pagtuon: Tugon sa mga Pilipinong may K* dulot ng Autismo” is this year’s theme in celebration of the National Autism Awareness Month.

The event, also known as The Angels’ Walk, is an annual awareness campaign to the general public of what autism is and how we could make the world a better place only if the right information is spread through the people around.

This 2019, SM Lanang Premier in Davao City is our newest partner in the cause.

Brought to you by SM Cares, Autism Society Philippines and Virtualahan, Angels’ Walk held last January 20 is not just an event, but a milestone that many more are being reached out and inspired.
